Important things to remember for your maternity session.

  • Please allow 45 minutes for your maternity shoot.

  • For two hours before your shoot don't wear anything tight fitting including bras), especially around your belly.

  • Please moisturise your belly, no glitter or shimmer.

  • Please make sure your hands and feet are clean and either freshly painted with nail polish or no nail polish as these will be in most of your photos.

  • Wear something you feel comfy and pretty in long flowy skirts, solids are nice, and strapless bras that coordinate with them. Tube dresses are great for showing off your shape. Also bring a pair of regular jeans, not the belly panel ones. A button-up shirt is also a good idea, perhaps one of your hubbys work shirts.

  • You can wear makeup just not glitter or shimmer, matte is the best. Also double up on your mascara as this will make your eyes pop in your photos. **feel free to bring your translucent powder to the shoot.

  • If you wear jewellery keep it to a minimum as we don't want to take focus away from your belly.

  • If you have a toy or gift for the baby to be please bring along, perhaps a pair of shoes. Your ultrasound photo is also a nice touch.

  • Bring low cut beige underwear and bra or boobtube as you will be in sheer material for some of your images and you don't want your undergarments to show through.

  • Don't wear any baggy clothes in your photos as you want to showcase your belly, therfore you need to bring clothes that fit well, and show off the beauty and shape of your expanding belly.

  • Please only bring solid coloured clothes as prints do not photograph well.

  • Please bring along a pair of pre pregnancy jeans, they don't have to do up aslong as they fit everywhere else.

  • Please bring along any lingerie you wish to wear.

  • Bring along any tight fitting skirts or dresses you wish to wear.

  • If you are including your partner in the session get him to dress to compliment your clothing choices.

  • Make sure you are rested and have eaten prior to the session, we want you to enjoy yourself.
